Life Lately | December

Reading- I read The Christmas Wedding this month- reviewed here- and i'm still reading The Heart of The Matter by Emily Giffin.

Watching- Been obsessed with watching Snooki & Jwoww.

Listening- Same old- Florence and the Machine, Taylor Swift and a lot of Disney songs.

Eating- Too much chocolate!

Excited- Having four more days off of work, starting a new year, our very first ultrasound on Jan. 14th!!, so much!

Hoping- Welllll Craig and I both want to keep the baby's gender a surprise but I might secretly be hoping that I catch a glimpse of something during our ultrasound.

Buying- Omg i'm so excited! I actually bought myself a couple of things today!! I can't even remember the last time I spent money on myself just to treat myself. I bought a new Vans sweater that i'm absolutely in love with and I finally treated myself to a new Vera Wang perfume that i've been dying to get!

Searching- For the best prices for public swimming. We're going to hopefully start swimming at least once a week starting in the new year.

Explored- We did a little exploring this month in the northern part of NS. looking at a couple of houses but thats all.

How was December for you?

2015 Goals | How Did I Do?

Last January I set 20 goals for myself to try and accomplish over the year. Let's see how I did....

1. COMPLETELY FINISH OUR APARTMENT
Not even close. hah
There isn't a single room in this apartment that's "finished" to my liking.

2. LOSE 15 POUNDS
Well since I went and got myself pregnant we can throw that one out the window...

3. GET FIT
We'll just stick this one with number 2...

4. REACH 100 FOLLOWERS ON BLOGLOVIN'
Finally, something i've actually accomplished!
I went well above and beyond 100 so thank you, thank you to everyone who follows :)

5. DO A SMALL GIVEAWAY ON MY BLOG
Check! I've actually done two!

6. LEARN TO MAKE SOMETHING
I don't think i've quite managed this one. Unless you count learning to make a new recipe? I'm not sure thats quite what I was going for though.

7. SCRATCH 2 PROVINCES OFF OF MY " TRAVEL CANADA" LIST
Nope. Only managed to get one! Prince Edward Island.

8. MAKE A NEW FRIEND
Sadly, no. Although I did rekindle old friendships this year.

9. VISIT AT LEAST 3 NEW MUSEUMS IN NOVA SCOTIA
Only two! So close...

10. LEARN TO SNOWBOARD
Didn't even look at my snowboard in 2015 haha

11. READ 20 BOOKS
So disappointed in myself for this one! I only read 14! pft

12. GET AT LEAST ONE NEW TATTOO
Haha- at least one- what the heck did I think was going to happen this year?
I didn't get any..

13. SWIM WHENEVER I CAN
I did go swimming a couple of times this summer but I wanted to a lot more.

14. GO HORSEBACK RIDING
Didn't happen.

15. HELP OTHERS (BY DONATING, VOLUNTEERING, ETC)
I did donate tons of clothing to Big Brothers Big Sisters throughout the year.

16. TRY AT LEAST 5 NEW RESTAURANTS
Of course glutton finished this goal.
I've been to 12 new restaurants this year.

17. DO SOMETHING CRAZY?
Does getting pregnant count? haha
Its crazy for me because i've actually always had this crazy fear about childbirth.
I for sure thought i'd be adopting any children I would have.

18. GO WHALE WATCHING
Man, this didn't happen either!
I still really want to do this one.

19. PAY OFF A NICE CHUNK OF MY STUDENT LOAN
Apparently I thought I'd be winning the lottery this year?

20. GROW MY HAIR REALLY LONG
I did grow it out 26.5 inches before cutting it all off.
Pretty long I suppose.

So I think its safe to say that I totally sucked at completing my 2015 goals. I've accomplished a mere 6 out of 20! haha I'm definitely not setting any goals for 2016. I'm just going to take it one day at a time.

HOW DID YOU DO WITH YOUR 2015 GOALS?

Nursery Mood Board | Aztec Theme

So we finally agreed on what we would like the nursery to look like and I am so excited to get started on it! Mind you we won't be starting it for quite some time but I feel a lot better knowing we have a direction agreed upon. We decided to go for an aztec theme and want to keep it as gender neutral as possible. I put together this mood board to show a general idea of what we want it to look like!

1| DIY Wooden Crib- We both agreed we'd rather make our baby's crib rather than buy one from the store. It'll actually be a lot cheaper this way and I love knowing it'll be made from sturdy, solid wood. Craig found this design online and we hope to make this exact crib.

2| Dream catchers- I just love the idea of dream catchers. They're beautiful and for me personally, I do think they work. I'd like to find a white one like the picture.

3| Mint- We decided on mint being the main colour for the nursery. I'm pretty sure we'll paint all of the walls like this. I figure its a pretty safe colour to go with since we aren't finding out the gender.

4| Aztec rug- In a perfect world I would love to find a rug exactly like this but I know I probably won't so whatever I can find similar to this will make me pretty happy.

5| Gold accents- I think little pops of gold would look really cute with the mint, black and white. Not a whole lot but if I can find gold pillows to throw around that'd be great.

6| Aztec fox fabric- We found a bunch of super cute fabrics on this website called Spoonflower. We decided were going to make our own mattress sheets because we just can't seem to find any cute ones we like. This fox one is our number one choice but we might get a few different ones that are in the same mint colour scheme so we can switch them out every now and then. We're also going to make some matching curtains with whatever fabrics we choose.

7| Arrow stencils- I want to do one accent wall with arrow stencils all over it like this one.

8| Wooden decor- Just some wooden decor pieces throughout the room. Something similar to the one shown but we're not 100% sure yet. The one in the photo says "Run Wild My Child", super cute!

I am beyond excited to get started on this! Let me know your thoughts on this. Anything you would change/add!

Blogmas Day 22 | Work Christmas Party (Haul)

This afternoon we had a little Christmas party at work. We never have typical Christmas parties where you get all dressed up and go out to some fancy restaurant and get food and drinks. No, where I work, we finish our work for the day as quick as possible, rip off our aprons and hair nets and set out all kinds of yummy food and alcohol and just sit, exchange gifts and enjoy each others company. Stinky and full of flour.

I much prefer that over getting all fancied up.

Today was wonderful. Our party started around 2:30 this afternoon when our boss laid out the goods. Cheese and crackers, spinach dip, fruit trays and delicious chicken wings. I was on drink duty seeing as I didn't drink myself and was left to mix rum and egg nog for the rest of the girls. Did I mention i've never made drinks before? To make this story short the girls were grateful for my attempt but I won't be getting my bar tenders licence any time soon!

My boss always picks us up a few gifts every Christmas but this year a couple of co-workers decided they wanted to get everyone gifts as well. I am just so grateful for the people I work with and the lovely presents I received today I thought why not share them in a little haul?

I've received two sets of comfy pjs (i'm currently wearing the black plaid pair!), super cute slippers, various chocolate bits, Kokeshi perfume set (they smell SO good) and last but not least this absolutely beautiful turtle made up of tiny little beads that came all the way from Guatamala!

Like I said I couldn't be more grateful. I work with some truly wonderful ladies. Oh! and the girl who gave me the turtle also got Baby an adorable blanket with an elephant on it!

Do you have work Christmas parties?

Blogmas Day 21 | An Evening Chat

Well good evening!

I wasn't going to post anything today. Mainly because I just couldn't think of anything to post about. I was just going to let it go but I couldn't stop thinking about how i've already gone 20 days straight with posting and I just couldn't give up with only 5 posts left for blogmas! So here we are. All I can muster this evening is this chatty type of post.

Christmas is almost here. Super excited to have a nice, quiet, laid back Christmas. Is it just me or did December go by extremely fast? A few more days and its all over with for another year. You have no idea how excited I am by the fact that i'll have my own baby to spend Christmas with next year, and every year after that!

Speaking of baby, I had my doctors appointment Friday. Everything is looking good! Heard the heartbeat again. Such a surreal feeling.  January 14th can't come soon enough. That's the day of our very first ultrasound!! eeek,

Ugh, i'm sorry but I can't even think of anything else to talk about. I am so beyond tired right now all I can think about is sleep. I also apologize if this post made absolutely no sense! I'm going to go to bed now. I'll be back with a better post tomorrow- hopefully!

goodnight x

Blogmas Day 20 | The Christmas Wedding by James Patterson

Well I just had to read a Christmas novel before Christmas. I was in a second-hand store and walked passed all of their decorations and this book caught my eye. A Christmas story AND by my favorite author- how could I not get it!

I'll just get my rating out of the way first thing. I'd only give this book maybe a 5 out of 10. Here's why..

It was a cute enough story but I just felt like nothing really happened the entire book. The main character who is getting married is in her 50s I believe and has been widowed for 3 years. One of her closest friends randomly asks her to marry him. After she tells her other two friends- both men- they decide they've loved her all along and ask her to marry them as well. Seems a little too unrealistic to me but hey, I went with it. So this lady now has 3 men that want to marry her. She decides she will marry one of them and have the wedding on Christmas Day.

So to me the whole book was the woman sending her 4 children videos telling them its a secret who she was marrying and no one would know until the wedding day, not even the man himself. It was her way of making sure all of her children showed up on Christmas to be together. That was it. There were no sad twists at the end like James Patterson normally loves to throw in his romantic novels. It was pretty straight forward and a little bit boring in my honest opinion.

Its a quick little read if you just want to read something Christmas related around the holidays.

Have you read any good Christmassy books this year?

Blogmas Day 19 - Things I Hate About Winter

Yesterday I shared all of the things I loved about Winter (pretty short list) so today I thought why not share all of the things I really don`t like about this season..

01. the cold
I don`t mind a bit of frost in the air but when it hits temperatures in the negatives and your eyelashes actually form ice- thats a problem.

02. frost bite
The absolute worst.

03. wet boots and socks
Don`t I hate when its so slushy outside and no matter what your boots become soaked along with your socks. Double suckage if it happens when you`re on your way out somewhere.

04. shovelling
Can I get a snow blower please.

05. when it just keeps snowing....and snowing...and snowing
You get the picture.

06. being cooped up inside all day
To me it feels like this is how my whole winter goes. Its either way too cold outside to go out and do anything or the snow is piled too high you just don`t feel like it.

07. chapped lips
Even worse when you get that dreaded red, painful skin all around your lips.

08. everything is covered in ice
When you`re walking down the street trying to walk as careful as you can but nope, you always manage to slip on that patch of hidden ice and feel extreme embarrassment wondering who might have seen you slip.

09. snowstorms and power outages
Storms are great for getting you out of work. But being stuck inside during a storm gets pretty boring. Being stuck inside during a storm with no power is like torture.

10. winter seems to last a lifetime
I`ve just made myself sad thinking about this one...

And on that note I guess its safe to say there are more things I hate about winter than love. Oh well, time to suck it up, we`ve got a long winter ahead of us!

What do you hate most about Winter

Blogmas Day 18 | Things I Love About Winter

Seeing as i'm most likely going to be wishing for Spring as soon as I get tired of the ice, snow, slush and cold, I might as well take this time to think about all of the things that I actually love about Winter.

01. snow...for a while
The first snow fall always makes me so happy. I always wish for a white Christmas every year. Snow just makes everything around you look so beautiful- until rain washes most of it away and you're left with gross, muddy slush.

02. the crisp air
I love when there's a little chill to the air. Maybe its just me but it feels so fresh to breathe in the cold winter air.

03. christmas of course
Pretty self-explanatory.

04. wearing more layers
I love summertime but I have to admit, I often feel pretty insecure during those hot months. I hate going out with just shorts and a tank top on. Bring on those heavy sweaters and jeans!

05. missing work because of a snow storm
And you thought having a snow day from school was awesome? Its twice as great getting to stay home from work!

Well then, I thought I could think of more than 5 things to love about Winter but I guess not.
Maybe tomorrow i`ll list the things I hate about Winter- I bet it`ll be longer.

Tell me something you love about Winter!

Blogmas Day 16 | My Favorite Childhood Christmas Memory

Christmas when you're a child is so magical. It really sucks that it starts to lose that magic as you get older. Don't get me wrong, its still amazing, but every great memory I can think of about Christmas happened when I was little. Today I thought it would be nice to share one of my favorite memories from childhood...

I was maybe 7 or 8 years old this Christmas. My sister and I used to share a bedroom until I was about 10 so we were in our room, not being able to sleep because we could never fall asleep early on Christmas Eve, and all of a sudden we heard something. I still swear to this day we heard something on the roof. Obviously it wasn't really Santa and his reindeer up there but we did hear something! I remember we were beyond excited and so amazed that we actually "heard Santa".

To make things even better, we thought we heard him downstairs. Like most children we would leave milk and cookies out for Santa (unknowing that our dad was the one who would go down and eat them). So we thought we heard Santa downstairs moving around and then we heard someone like swiping their hands. You know when you're eating something crumbly- like a cookie- and you wipe your hands to get the crumbs off? Well thats what we were hearing. We instantly thought Omg! He's eating the cookies! It was probably the greatest Christmas Eve i've had.

The reason this is my favorite Christmas memory is because this was the Christmas that made me believe more than I ever thought I could. I remember it was this particular night that caused me to believe there was an actual Santa Claus long after I probably should have stopped believing. It didn't matter how many kids told me Santa wasn't real. In my mind I had "proof", I heard him, and that was enough for me.

Those are the kinds of memories I hope to give my child one day. To let them believe in magic for as long as they possibly can.

What's your favorite memory about Christmas?

Blogmas Day 15 | Fast, Delicious Breakfast Smoothie

Smoothies are great because you can literally throw almost anything together and it'll probably taste great. This morning I'm sharing a fast, easy, delicious smoothie you can make in 5 minutes when you're in a hurry.

1- Add frozen strawberries

2- Add a banana

3- Throw in a handful of chia seeds

4- Finish off with some delicious vanilla almond milk

And thats it! So easy and so so good. I even made a second one to bring to work with me.

What kind of smoothie is your favorite?
Feel free to share some ideas!

Blogmas Day 14 | November Beauty Box 5

I know- I'm super late posting my November BB5. But! Its not entirely my fault. My box was extremely late getting to me. Like, just last week arriving. I even sent BB5 an email about it and wouldn't you know it the day after sending the email the freakin box came- how embarrassing.

ANYWAY, lets get into it!

1. Moodmatcher Luxe Twist Stick
The color supposedly reacts with your lip creating a one of a kind hue.

2. Kaunis Facial Mask
I've never used a face mask so i'm definitely excited to try this out!

3.La Fresh Good Day. Day Moisturizer
This stuff sounds really nice.

4. Altchek MD Eye Gel Pads
These are supposed to sooth puffiness, fine lines and tired skin.

5. The All Natural Face Vegan Matte Cream Lip & Cheek Color in Dusky Rose
I'm not usually a fan of cream blushes but i'll test it out.

I have to say I wasn't completely impressed with Novembers box. Who knows though, the products could be amazing!

Blogmas Day 13 | My Favorite Brand (Live Clean)

I thought it was due time for me to tell you all about my absolute favorite shampoo/conditioner/body lotion brand- Live Clean! Just to clarify I am not sponsored by Live Clean, I just genuinely love their products and you guys know in my reviews- If I don't love it I have no problem saying it!

Live Clean is a brand i've gone back and forth to over the years but recently I find they are coming out with so many new, amazing products I just want to try them all! I'm currently using the Weightless Volume Shampoo and Conditioner and I couldn't possibly love it anymore than I do. First of all the smell reminds me of candy and I have no idea why because the top ingredients used are lavender extract, matricaria extract and rosemary leaf extract so why I smell candy is a mystery to me.

The best part about Live Clean products is that they are super eco-friendly, most shampoos are 98% plant derived, they are SLS, phthalate and paraben free, cruelty free AND I just noticed on my shampoo bottle that its pure vegan. I know not all of their products are vegan because the conditioner i'm using just says vegetarian formula but thats super cool knowing my shampoo is!

Now the whole point of me raving about this brand is because 1) I just love it & 2) I want you guys to love it just as much as I do! With that being said i've been thinking about hosting my next giveaway. I'm not sure exactly when but I was wanting to know if getting a huge goodie basket full of Live Clean products would be of any interest to you? It'll take a little while because i'm going to be going out and purchasing all of the products I want to send you for myself first just so I know they're awesome. So please let me know in the comments if these are the types of products you would love to try out because unfortunately I don't think you can purchase Live Clean anywhere other than Canada and the U.S. So i'd love to be able to send these out for you guys!

Does this sound like a brand you'd like to try?

Blogmas Day 12 | Nursery Inspiration

I'm officially four months pregnant. Time seems to be going fast and slow all at once. I find i'm not very concerned with baby planning at the moment. I'm kind of just like- Oh I have five months left! Plenty of time! But in the back of my mind I know those five months are going to fly by before I know it. So tonight I found myself thinking about what the nursery could look like and I soon found myself on Pinterest looking for a little inspiration.

I'm quite drawn to more neutral colors - greys, whites and browns. And since we're not going to find out the baby's gender I feel like this is the safest route but Craig wants more color. (He thinks I choose grey far too much and I do, but hey! Girl loves her grey)

I love all five looks but like I said i'm more for the neutral look. Maybe some white and grey with a pop of color like the 3rd photo. I also really wanted to do like a woodland creature theme but I just can't seem to find exactly what i'm looking for in any of the stores around here.

Which look would you choose?

Blogmas Day 11 | My Day In Photos....Kind Of

Hi guys!

I currently have a lend of my mom's laptop until we get a new computer so blogmas will continue! Very excited about that.

Its kind of crazy going back to a windows computer after using a mac for so long.
I feel like I'm just learning how to use a computer for the first time!

Anyway..

Yesterday I thought it would be so fun to document my entire day in photos and do a "day in photos" type of post. Well, it was going smooth for the first little while..

I started by showing my getting ready process.
Ya know- shower, hair, makeup and clothes.

And of course I needed a photo after I finished getting ready.
(my belly is starting to pop out guys! How exciting. Tomorrow i'll be 4 months!)

So after we were all ready we headed out to the car dealership.

So this is where we spent the next 3 hours looking at and test driving cars.
We may or may not have found the perfect car....i'll let you know tomorrow ;)

And that's basically where the pictures end.

After the dealership Craig and I were starving so we went to try out a restaurant my mom recommended. It was delicious! It was like stepping back in time to an old dinky diner where the prices were amazing. We're definitely going back.
I'm still not comfortable hauling out my giant camera in restaurants to take photos so that's why I don't have any. Some day..

We came home and realized our computer went kaput so I was a little upset about that.

Craig went to work and I was super tired so I fell asleep for pretty much the rest of the night.

That's my excuse for not having anymore pictures..

Sorry this day in photos kind of sucks. Hopefully i'll get better at it.
And also, sorry if the colors in the pictures look weird- the computer lighting is a little off and I can't really tell if it looks normal or not.

Hope you all have a great weekend! :)

Blogmas day 10 | Well this sucks

Remember the other day I posted about our awesome computer and how it was just shutting down by its self? Well, I believe it has finally crapped the bed. For some reason the darn thing wont even turn on now. Im pretty bummed right now because I was really enjoying doing blogmas everyday but I wont be able to continue until the computer works again or I somehow manage to get a new one. Im currently writing this post on the xbox but I cant really do anything besides text. No photos or anything so that would be quite boring.

So many great things happened today I suppose something bad was bound to happen! Oh well. It is what it is :) I'll figure something out.

I hope the rest of you are having a fantastic day! And I hope to get back at it soon.

Blogmas Day 9 | Our Christmas Tree!

There she is. The tree that made me realize I really despise decorating Christmas trees. You might be thinking "why now?", "haven't you decorated Christmas trees in the past?" Why yes I have. What made this year different, however, is that this was my first year having a real tree. Therefore this was my first year attempting to string lights on a tree seeing as all of my other artificial trees came pre-lit.

I'll make a long story short and tell you that after spending a few hours trying to set the lights up myself, I walked away and took a long hot bath. I had to, or else the lights and possibly the entire tree would have been thrown out to the curb.

Luckily Craig came home and saved the day (tree) and I finished decorating it while he went to work. I think it turned out pretty nice. I always envy people whose trees look like they came straight from a magazine. How do you do it!? Oh well, it's done and i'm happy.

I'm going to wrap a few presents now and just relax for the rest of the night.

Did you get your tree decorated yet?

Blogmas Day 7 | Frustrating imac Problems!

Today's blogmas post isn't festive in any way. Today I want to get my frustration out and hopefully find someone else who has encountered the same problem and might be able to help me!

We have one of those 27" imacs and it has just been lovely since the day we got it. Movie watching and photo editing has never been better. Until now.

For the past week or so the computer will not stop shutting down! Well, it doesn't exactly shut down. It kind of "shuts off" while you're in the middle of doing something but if I click the mouse after a second it'll turn back on. This happens most when you're trying to watch a show or youtube. It was even happening to me tonight while I only had itunes open listening to music while I cleaned.

We've only had the computer for maybe 3 years? Its not very old but I think the warranty has already expired. I found an apple help forum online and it seems like tons of other people have the exact same issue and they've all taken their computers to Apple with no help from them. Everyone seems to get the same answer- it looks fine. While they continue on with this problem.

Its just so frustrating!

I'm hoping maybe someone else has been having this issue and has found a way to fix it and would be so kind and tell me how they fixed it :) We're really not in a position to fork out extra money to fix this darn thing or to even get a new computer.

Let me know if this has ever happened to your computer!
Regular blogmas posts will resume tomorrow :)

Blogmas Day 6 | My Top 5 Favorite Christmas Movies

Watching Christmas movies around the holidays is what always made everything feel really festive to me. Sure seeing all of the decorations out and hearing Christmas music playing in the stores helps to make it feel festive but there's just something about watching all of my favorite movies that I enjoyed watching as a child.

Today i'm sharing my top five favorite Christmas movies with you!

001. To Grandmother's House We Go

Hands down one of the greatest Christmas movies ever! Seeing as the Olsen twins were basically my childhood I couldn't not have this as my number one favorite!

002. Home Alone

A classic. I don't think I could ever get tired of watching this movie! I also really enjoy Home Alone 2 but the third one wasn't so great in my opinion.

003. A Christmas Carol

I really enjoy pretty much any version of A Christmas Carol, especially the Scrooge McDuck version. But I did like the one with Jim Carrey as well!

004. Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas

Love this movie! I do like the newer version but theres just something special about the old cartoon version.

005. Jack Frost

And last but certainly not least- Jack Frost. This movie is amazing. I remember I cried watching it even as a kid. But it also has some really funny moments in it.

Tell me your favorite Christmas movie! Do you like any of the ones i've mentioned?

Blogmas Day 5 | How I'm Going to Have a Stress-Free Christmas

As much as it sucks to admit it - Christmas can be one of the most stressful times of year. I know I generally feel more stressed around this time. It's too bad really because the holidays are meant to be enjoyed. This year Craig and I have decided we are going to make this Christmas stress-free and enjoyable. And this is how i'm going to do it:

I'm only buying presents for the children in our family.
That means I only have to worry about picking up 6 presents. Toys to be precise. Toys are also on the cheaper side. Which is a bonus. We decided this after last Christmas because it was just too much. We just couldn't afford it but when it comes to Christmas you kind of feel like you have to get everyone a present. You fall into the mindset of - Well, I can't buy her a present and not buy him a present so now I have to buy that person a present. It's never-ending! Over the last few years we were literally buying presents for 18 people. Sometimes more when someone who I never even thought about would come to me and say "Oh, I picked you up something for Christmas. You don't have to get me anything though!" Oh okay, i'll just feel like a bag of crap when I open my present from you.
I used to have to start my Christmas shopping in July just to be ready for Christmas. It was a nightmare. Well, not this year. We've told everyone in our family months ago- and remind them every time we talk- that we won't be giving out presents, only to the kids, and I have never felt better! Its such a huge weight lifted off of me and soon you start realizing that this is what Christmas is about. Enjoying the holiday. It shouldn't be about presents. Just spending time with your loved ones.

We're not traveling this Christmas.
This one makes me so happy. Every Christmas we normally have to make the 4.5 hour drive to Cape Breton to spend most of the holiday with Craig's family. While its nice to see all of your family over Christmas, the journey- usually snow covered- can be a bit annoying. No stress this year of getting everything packed into the car, worrying that you might hit a snowstorm on the way down, hoping that your car actually makes it down (we've had more than enough close calls with this one), and then just being somewhere other than "home" on Christmas. Sometimes its just nice to be in the comfort of your own home over the holidays, ya know? So that's exactly what we're doing this year!

We're not hosting Christmas dinner.
There's nothing that stresses me out more than inviting over all of our family and cooking food for them. I can't even cook that well! I think you have to really love hosting dinners in order to truly enjoy this one because if you've ever hosted a big Christmas dinner before you'll know that you don't get to relax the entire time. Between making sure you bought all of the food, literally taking hours to cook the dinner, making sure everyone else is fed before you, and just hoping that everyone is actually having a good time. It's stressful! So this year we'll either be going somewhere else for dinner or just cooking a dinner for two.

So there you have it! That's what i'm doing this year to feel as stress-free as possible and I must say, its working out pretty darn good! I'm just going to enjoy all of the wonderful things Christmas and the holiday season have to offer.

What about you? Do you normally stress over the holidays?

Blogmas Day 4 | Flashback Friday #41

Since it's Friday I thought why not do another Flashback Friday post. And since i'm doing Blogmas, why not make it a festive flashback post all the way back to December of 2013!

I remember we had a gingerbread house contest!
I think they both turned out pretty cute :)

I tried to be all artsy with the decorations haha
I'll practice more this year!

Nothing better than Caramilk fondue and fruit! Yum

My mom, brother and I after we filled our guts with said fondue.

Christmas Eve <3

& then Christmas morning with my cutie of a niece :)

I hope you enjoyed this little festive flashback! I know I certainly enjoyed looking back at these memories.
